Welcome
WALTHAM has been hosting state-of-the-art nutritional sciences symposia for decades all over the globe; from Hanover to Adelaide, Vancouver to Bankok, and most recently in Cambridge.
This year we are delighted to hold the WINSS in beautiful Portland, Oregon, known as "the City of Roses."
Portland is situated approximately 70 miles from the Pacific Ocean where the Columbia River meets the Willamette River, in a magnificent setting, combining sparkling waterways with lush greenery in a city offering fantastic venues to explore and fine cuisine.
In October 2013, we will welcome an international gathering of nutritional scientists and veterinary specialists for three days featuring scientific sessions bridging current human and pet care issues including aging, the microbiome, healthy weight management, macronutrient selection and a popular interactive feature exploring Hot Topics in pet nutrition.

| The highlight of the social program will be a gala dinner at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry which boasts a state of the art science center, including the giant screen Omnimax theater, the laser art planetarium and many interactive exhibits.
